Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

The goal of our youth ministry is to cultivate a high view of God in all of life that leads to true worship, committed love, and sacrificial service. We proclaim the greatness of God, the redemption of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, that our youth might be conformed to the image of Christ through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Meeting Times:

Sunday School                     9:30-10:30 am             Sunday morning
Discipleship Groups        5:00-6:00 pm                Sunday evening
Bible Study                            7:00-8:00 pm               Wednesday evening

On Sunday morning we have a Youth Sunday School class. Our youth are going through “Your Word is Truth,”  by Children Desiring God on the subject of seeing all of life through the truth of Scripture. We want our youth to cultivate a love for the Word of God, and for their worldview to be shaped and informed by the central truths of the Bible.

On Sunday evenings at 5:00-6:00 pm, our youth are studying The Attributes of God.
The attributes of God are those qualities or characteristics that belong to God. God’s attributes define and describe who God is. This study seeks to answer the question, “What is God like?” We will be looking at fifteen of God’s attributes, including: God is self-existent, God is spiritual, God is sovereign, God is holy, God is omnipresent, God is omniscient, God is omnipotent, God is immutable, God is truthful, God is wise, God is good, God is gracious, God is loving, God is foreknowing, and God is righteous in wrath. See more information here.

On Wednesday evenings at 6:00-7:30 pm we are studying John Bunyan’s classic The Pilgrim’s Progress.
The book follows the main character of the story (“Christian”) as he journeys from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City.  Christian begins the story reading a book (“the Bible”) and carrying a great burden (“sin and guilt”) and seeking a way to be delivered from the coming wrath of God upon his city. Another character named Evangelist gives him directions for how to be saved. He tells him, “Fly from the wrath to come” “Go to the wicket gate”.  The story follows Christian along his journey to Celestial City (“Heaven”) and all the obstacles and trials along the way.  See more information here.
